How does astrology work?

Astrology is study of planets. These planets move in an orbit known as zodiac. At the time of birth the angle with which each planet is looking at you makes your horoscope. The quality and quantity of energy of each planet is imprinted on you. Interplay of these energies indicate events planned for you by the planets. After your birth when different planets pass through different parts of zodiac, these planets activate the imprinted energy and events happen.

Is fate pre-determined ? Can I not change it?

Although many things are cast in stone but many events can be averted or created. This is because astrology is based on principals of “Karma” and “Rebirth”. The past lives’ karma that make your current horoscope account for most of the events and interaction that you will have in this life. But in current life you continuously create fresh karmic records using your will power. What type of karma you perform in this life can change or eliminate some planned events and create new events in your current life. So, there is a lot you can do to change the course of your life. Astrology stresses on doing the right karma. It never advises you to be into a state of inaction and run away from your duties.

I would rather face the result of my past life karma than going to an astrologer for advice. Can I not do that?

Of course, you can do that. But remember, astrology is based on principals of “Karma” and “Rebirth”. Your rebirth in human form is a chance for you to use profitably the highest form of consciousness that a birth in human form presents. One should keep one’s mind, soul and body in harmony to attempt liberation from cycle of “Karma” and “Rebirth”. Astrology helps you to work towards this goal. This is same as when you fall sick you do not say that I will rather face misery of sickness than going to a doctor. You immediately go to a doctor because you want to keep your body and mind intact to achieve some goals that you are chasing in your life.

Is Astrology magic?

No astrology is not magic. It is purely a science based on mathematics. Position of planets in the zodiac matters.

Does Astrology need mystique power to work accurately?

It is not needed at all to make accurate prediction and guide people. If someone has mystique power it might help.

If astrology is science, then why same combination of planets does not result into same event always?

We understood the role of will power previously. Besides this, also consider the fact that planets in same houses of horoscope can be on different degrees, and can be less or more powerful basis many other rules such as nearness to Sun, direct or retrograde motion, aspects of other planets etc.

But horoscopes of twins are exactly same. Then why are lives of twins so different although their birth details are same?

Only the main horoscope (D-1 Chart or Lagna Chart) of twins is same. Each individuals has a number of special horoscopes that capture finer details. In case of twins, it is the D-180 chart that makes them different. And on the top of it the principal of will power still operates.

Do astrological remedies work?

Yes, remedies work. Astrology is a matter of interplay of energies of different planets. When you make those energy combinations right with a remedy, intended results start coming.

Is it guaranteed that remedy will work?

There is no guarantee. Astrologers want to act in the best interest of clients but they are not God. Only God can guarantee that a remedy will work. Typically, astrologers suggest remedies that they have seen working in their experience.

Do costly remedies work better than cheaper ones?

Absolutely not. A remedy that channelizes the planets’ energy in right manner will work. It can be extremely cheap also and sometimes even free.

Do you suggest gemstones as remedy?

No, rarely. Gemstones are very costly and same effect can be had through cheaper remedies that anyone can afford.

Do planets impact everyone?

Planets of course impact everyone in this material world. But people who have progressed well onto path of liberation may come under direct shelter protection of God. Both astrology and remedies might not work for them. It is the aim of astrology to motivate people to tread on this path.

I consulted an astrologer few years ago. Predictions are not correct. What could be the reason?

Accuracy of prediction depends very heavily on the experience of the astrologer and astrologer’s grasp on the subject like any other student. We can blame astrologer for inaccurate prediction but besides astrologer there could be other reasons as well which are not in astrologer’s control, for example:

• how you use your will power,
• did you follow astrologer’s guidance
• Did you perform remedies as instructed
• Did you provide correct answers during probing session
• Correctness of birth details

I do not have my birth details. Can astrology still help me?

Yes, there is a specific branch of astrology for such cases where birth details are not available.

Why does astrologer ask “please tell me what problem you have”? Why don’t the astrologer tell everything about me on his/her own?

Astrology is a very deep science. As astrologer can speak to you about your horoscope for many days. A typical consulting session is about 30 minutes. To help you make the best use of your time and money an astrologer asks you about the problem for which astrologer can provide you with the guidance. It is not economically viable for both the client and the astrologer to discuss a horoscope for 2 days.
